0. Meeting Preliminaries

   • Meeting Opened / Attendance Taken (see above).

1. Executive Session

   To conduct strategy sessions in preparation for negotiations with nonunion personnel or to conduct collective bargaining sessions or contract negotiations with nonunion personnel. Selectboard will reconvene in Open Session after the close of Executive Session.

2. Appointments (7:00)

   • Approve minutes of April 4

   • 7:00 : Tim Shores--Comprehensive Plan Update

     General Discussion...
     Tim Shores gave an update on the progress of the comprehensive plan. He outlined the progress since fall of 2022 when they began up to the present. They are beginning to meet with a steering group and will consider additional members until May. Next will be meeting with community groups.
     The contract with the consultant for phase 2 was signed.
     

   • 7:30: Jo Comerford

     General Discussion...
     Jo Comerford and her Chief of Staff, Jared Freedman, met virtually for their annual spring check in. Jo addressed the list of topics sent in advance by the Select Board members including: Quabbin regional equity; and school bus safety. She also talked about her role on the Agriculture; Higher Education and Ways and Means Committees. She encouraged the board to reach out more often and cited specific bills Leverett might be interested in like the Student Opportunity bill.
     Melissa gave her an update on Leverett’s Mosquito Control Program. Richard N. also gave updates.
