  1. Meeting Preliminaries

    • - Call meeting to order and review minutes of the previous meeting.

    • - Announcements, Information and log incoming mail.

    • - 1. Received letter and ''as built'' plans dated 7/15/2022 from William J. Sieruta, P.E. for 62 Shutesbury Rd., Gerald McFarland. Member, J. Hillman spoke to Health Agent, Stephen Ball Mr. Ball stated that it was OK to issue COC. COC has been signed by Designer, William J. Sieruta, and Installer, Larry LaClaire. COC signed by Clerk and mailed to owner.

    • - 2. Received Bacteriological Report dated 6/15/2022 from Quabbin Analytical for Leverett Village Coop. Sink absent of coliform.

    • - 3. Received Bacteriological Report dated 4/16/2022 from Quabbin Analytical for Leverett Village Coop. Sink absent of coliform.

    • - Citizens Business: Permits and general questions for the board.

    • - 1. Received from R.H. Adair & Co., LLC check #2483, dated 7/22/2022 for $100.00 for Installers Permit. Clerk issued permit #22-15.

    • - 2. 2 Chestnut Hill Rd., Received from owner Anne Beresford Clarke check #1619, dated 7/21/20222 for $150.00 for Title 5 inspection. No report received.

    • - 3. 16 Long Hill Rd., owner Charlie Urquhart. Received Title 5 Inspection Report dated 7/7/2022 from Greg's Waste Water Removal. System passes. Received from Charlie Urquhart check #1612, dated 7/7/2022 for $150.00 for Title 5 inspection.

    • - 4. 20 Church Hill Rd., owner Kim Mohlar. Received cashier check #995040, dated 7/21/2022 for $150.00. (there was no indication on the check as to what the payment was for)

    • 5. DPH Grant

      General Discussion...
      Member, J. Hillman discussed the $300,000 grant from DPH, administered through Greenfield. Contact person at FRCOG Jennifer Hoffman. Communities eligible for monies are Sunderland, Montague, Leverett, Shutesbury, Greenfield and Deerfield.
      The purpose of the grant is to hire staff, education training tablets and printers.
      More information to follow.

    • - 6. Pete Sylvan asked if there is a list of licensed Title 5 Inspectors and Septage haulers, as during responding to BOH inquires Town residents are asking for this information. J. Hillman has a list of inspectors and will send and a list of Haulers should be on the town's web site.

    • - 7. Pete Sylvan asked about Zoom meetings. Chair, N. Venti has asked the clerk (S. Nagy) to figure out how the board can begin using ZOOM for remote meetings.

    • - 8. Covid-19 - Nick Venti reported that there has been a slight surge in the coronavirus. New England has a low risk of community spread and severe illness is limited in this region.

    • - 9. Nick Venti reported that the BOH has been contacted by the railroad regarding application of herbicides on the ROW. Nick will contact them and invite them to an upcoming meeting.

    • - Adjourn and schedule next meeting.

      MOTION, moved by Nick Venti, seconded by Peter Sylvan: Move to adjourn at 8:11.

      Pass: Aye: Nick Venti, Peter Sylvan, John Hillman, Barbara Seamon. Not Present: Mary Ryan.
